The theme this week is "May Flowers" and I decided to enter a picture I took last year at the Tulip Festival in Skagit County, Washington. There were fields upon fields are gorgeous fibrant tulips, but for some reason this lone flower in a field of chopped down tulips is one of my favorites.

Today is Fix-it Friday over at I ♥ Faces . To edit this photo I first masked this adorable little boy and brightened him up a little using curves. Then I used one of my favorite TRA actions, Flare Up (Faded), after that all I did was bump up the red saturation a bit just to make those gorgeous fall colors pop. OH!... And I also used the POS action from TRA to blur the edges just a tad more. This is SUCH a gorgeous location!

Definately the most wet session I have ever attempted. It was not just raining by the end... it was pouring!... this first photo cracks me up. The kids tried SO HARD to act like the water wasn't pouring down on their faces. What troopers!

We took some engagement photos for a friend of ours and we met them by the elementary school that they both had attended together. We were thrilled when we found the doors to the school unlocked and so we walked in and were able to take some photos inside too. Today is Fix-It Friday over at I ♥ Faces. The original picture was taken by Amy Locurto from Atomic Egg Photography. To edit this photo I first cropped it a bit, although I really love the original shot just how it is too. I popped the eyes every so slightly and sharped around some of her features. I created a mask around the dark circles under her eyes and lighted them just a tad. I then ran the pool party action from TRA at about 60% and then boosted the yellow color just a tad. Here is the result.

This first picture is taken on my grandparents farm in Ashton, Idaho. We were visiting their farm for the last time as a family after my grandma passed away last year. It was so fun being together again and sharing this memory.

Love this one! I wanted a picture of the older siblings kissing their baby brother on each cheek, but instead I got this. I think I like it even better!

This one needs no explanation. It's just plain funny!

And lastly, who hasn't tried a few times to capture that group family shot on your own and didn't quite leave enough time on the timer? This is my husband trying to make it back in the shot. Whoops... not quite.

My family loves the fair and we LOVE theme park rides! We could ride all day (well... maybe except for dad who tends to get a bit nauseous). My youngest especially loves them! He wants to go on one ride after another. This picture is so funny because as you can see... my husband and my oldest son, Ethan, look especially thrilled to be watching Davie on yet another kiddie ride. Ethan just wanted to get on to the real stuff. Cracks me up!

Today is Fix-It Friday over at I ♥ Faces. This amazing picture was taken by Angie Arthur. I didn't crop this picture at all because I love it just as it is... I first highlighted and darked areas to taste and then I ran the pross crossessed action from TRA at about 40% opacity and then added just a touch of pool party (only about 15% opacity). And that was it.

This is a picture I took of me and my brothers and sister on my gradparents farm in Ashton, Idaho. We were all able to visit the farm after my grandma's funeral last September. It was truly bittersweet being able to all be there together again, one last time. We spent every summer growing up visiting my grandparents here and it holds so many special memories for each of us.
